About Pro-lens Image Incorporated

Our humble beginning began in 1997, known as Pro-lens Photography.  At that time, we were a home-based business (half our home was our studio!).  The business eventually outgrew the house and we moved into our current location in a quaint strip mall in Port Coquitlam (close to Shaughnessy and Lougheed).  Our accountant thought we would be better off as a corporation, so we changed our name to Pro-lens Image Incorporated a few years ago.

We were one of the first studios in the Lower Mainland to make the switch to digital photography (ironic, considering we thought we'd be one of the last!).

Our photographer, Al Lens, has been an avid photographer since he was given his first Brownie camera at age five.  He captured thousands of images on a personal level before 'going pro.'  His unusual sense of humour puts his subjects at ease and makes having your photo taken quite fun!

Don't let the 'big name' fool you.  We are still a family-owned and operated business.  We pride ourselves in our no-pressure sales.  To that extent, unless you request to have your portrait viewing done at the studio, we provide you with a private online gallery so you can choose your images at home.

Most of our business comes from word-of-mouth.  Our favourite kind of advertising because it's free, and we know people appreciate our work when they refer friends and family.
